Trade Laser Engraving for the Jewellery Trade

GETi provides a specialised, B2B laser engraving service for retailers, manufacturers and designers. From our workshop in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter we use advanced fibre-laser technology to deliver superior detail, depth and durability compared with traditional hand or rotary engraving. Because the laser never touches the piece, no physical stress is applied to the metal, which protects delicate settings and complex designs. Our technicians are jewellers first, so every engraving is planned to enhance the look of the piece rather than simply mark it.

Whether you need a single name inside a wedding band, a family crest on a signet ring or your brand logo on a new collection, we handle the work in-house and return it ready to sell.

What we can engrave

We render high-resolution logos, intricate crests and microscopic marks with ease, as well as everyday personalisation.

  • Text and dates. Names, dates, messages and coordinates, inside or outside the ring.
  • Fonts. A wide choice of typefaces from our engraving font guide, available in the Trade Portal.
  • Logos and branding. Your own maker's mark or brand logo for own-label collections.
  • Family crests. Detailed heraldry and monograms reproduced from your artwork.
  • Fingerprints. Taken from a clear ink print or scan supplied by your customer.
  • Handwriting. A loved one's signature or note, reproduced from a photo or scan.
  • Branding marks. Microscopic maker and brand marks. We do not apply official Assay Office hallmarks

Light marks vs deep engraving

Light marks are fine surface marks, ideal for small text, delicate detail and pieces where you want a subtle finish. They remove very little metal, so they suit thin bands and precious pieces where weight matters.

Deep engraving uses multiple laser passes to cut further into the metal, giving a bold, high-contrast result with a tactile feel. Our deep-etch process helps marks resist daily wear and tear, making it the best choice for rings worn every day, logos and crests. If you are unsure which to choose, tell us how the piece will be worn and we will advise.

Sending artwork

Simply upload your artwork as a PNG, PDF or JPG file when you place your order. Vector PDFs and high-resolution images give the cleanest results, but we can work from photos and scans for handwriting and fingerprints.

Before engraving, our technicians optimise every design for the specific metal and the curvature of the surface. Lines are adjusted so that text and logos read correctly around the inside or outside of a ring, fine details are checked so they will hold at the chosen size, and contrast is balanced for the finish. If a file needs improving, we will contact you before any work starts.

FAQs

Which metals can you engrave?

We engrave gold, platinum, palladium, silver, titanium, tungsten, zirconium and stainless steel; the service extends to pieces we did not make ourselves.

Can I send my customer's own jewellery for engraving?

Yes. Trade customers can send their own or their customers' pieces for engraving. Please pack items securely and include your order reference and return address.

What artwork files do you accept?

We accept PNG, PDF and JPG files. Higher-resolution files give the best results, and our technicians prepare every design for the metal and the curve of the piece.

What is the difference between a light mark and a deep engraving?

A light mark is a fine surface mark suited to delicate text and detail. A deep engraving removes more metal for a bolder, high-contrast finish that resists everyday wear.

How long does engraving take?

Engraving is generally completed within about a week, with 2-day and same-day express options available for urgent orders at an additional charge.
